Although the IRS has extended the individual tax return due date for taxpayers who live in South Carolina (as well as Florida and North Carolina), our clients who live in South Carolina should take note.  South Carolina has announced that it will honor this extension.  That’s the good news.  The bad news is that the state anticipates issuing a round of rebate checks later this year to all taxpayers who had a tax liability, but those who file after October 17 will not receive the check until March 2023.  The rebate checks are anticipated to be $700 per tax return.  More information can be found here.
