Accel has many expatriate clients (both U.S. residents living abroad and foreign nationals living in the United States). If you are one of them, here are the important 2017 U.S. tax deadlines to be aware of:

April 18, 2017: deadline for those living in the United States to either file an extension or timely file U.S. income tax returns and foreign bank account disclosure forms (Form 114/FBAR) (note, the FBAR form was previously due on June 30. It has been moved to April beginning with the 2016 tax year.).

April 18, 2017: deadline for those living in the United States to timely pay all U.S. taxes.

June 15, 2017: deadline for those living abroad to either file an extension or timely file U.S. income tax returns and foreign bank account disclosure forms (Form 114/FBAR).

June 15, 2017: deadline for those living abroad to timely pay all U.S. taxes.

October 16, 2017: extension deadline to timely file U.S. income tax returns and foreign bank account disclosure forms (Form 114/FBAR).

As noted above, all tax payments are due either April 18 (for those living in the United States) or June 15 (for those living abroad), even though the due date for filing the return can be extended to October 16.
